Women’s Perspectives 3: Women & Money
Published in 2008
In the call for writings, student writers were encouraged to reflect and to write on the broad diversity of issues related to women and their experiences with money. Through personal stories, poems, opinion essays, advice, or other forms of writing, students addressed issues such as finances, class, security, income, work, and other everyday issues related to women’s lives as affected by money.
WE LEARN received 93 writings from students across the United States and Canada. They represented a range of topics and writing proficiency. This collection showcases 58 of those writings. The selection committee chose writings that best represented the theme. They also considered voice, clarity, heart, and writing technique.
